About the role

  • We invite you to join the Hexcel team at various manufacturing sites, sales offices, and R&D centers around the globe.
  • Start rate: $34.15 Per Hour during the New Hire Orientation Period - normally 90 calendar days, then increases to $35.95 Per Hour.
  • This position pays a $1.75 per hour shift premium and is on our "T4" 2x2x5x5 shift: Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday (Week 1) 7:00PM to 7:00AM; and Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday (Week 2) 7:00PM to 7:00AM.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience with duties commonly associated with that of a mechanic/mechanical maintenance person.
  • Working knowledge of computers.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • As required, fabricates replacement parts.
  • Must have full working set of essential mechanical tools.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
