Responsibilities

  • Email Management: Manage high-volume email communications by prioritizing urgent matters, tracking deadlines, coordinating follow-up, and ensuring important messages are addressed promptly and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Family Law Support: Support family law matters through client communication, case coordination, deadline tracking, document preparation, and administrative case management.
  • Document Assistance: Assist with drafting legal documents, preparing forms, conducting legal support work, and maintaining accurate documentation to support case progression.
  • Case Management: Maintain up-to-date case status, monitor deadlines, coordinate next steps, and proactively follow up on pending matters to keep cases progressing smoothly.
  • Organizational Abilities: Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a proven ability to manage competing priorities, maintain accurate records, meet deadlines, and prevent scheduling or communication breakdowns.
  • Can you manage complex client interactions and ensure seamless operations?

  • The Legal Assistant at BBA Law exists to support the firm's expanding Family Law practice.
  • As a key operational partner within the practice, this role is crucial for maintaining high levels of client service, responsiveness, and operational efficiency.
  • The Legal Assistant will help manage client communications, streamline administrative processes, and ensure matters remain organized and on track.

Requirements

  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally and confidently with clients, courts, opposing counsel, and other stakeholders on a daily basis.

Nice to have

  • Family law experience is strongly preferred
