About the role

- Provides new feature time estimates for system changes and assists in implementing modifications.
- Ability to effectively coach, train and mentor more junior engineers and help them solve technical challenges. - Collects data related to user requests and determines scope, time estimates, and system impacts.

- 25% Development and Problem-Solving
- Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues, providing effective solutions.
- Experience in Product Development Lifecycle, ideally within Agile methodologies, sprint planning, and project tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Helix).
- 15% Documentation
- Ensure proper documentation and archiving of all work.
- 10% Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Minimum direct years experience: 5+ years preferred
Skills
- Proficient and dedicated to writing reliable, testable, maintainable, and performant code.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
- Strong Knowledge of JavaScript, Phython, JSON & XML, HTML5, Web Services: REST and/or SOAP API.
- Proficiency in relevant software tools (e.g., Power Bi, SQL, PowerQuery).
- Familiarity with relevant compliance standards such as PCI-DSS and GDPR
- Must be able to confidently interact with technical, non-technical, and management staff.
- Proficient in multiple industry-adopted programming languages.
- Strong experience working between multiple projects simultaneously, with varied degrees of complexity and duration.
- Experience working in large, enterprise level programs/projects, preferably with a background in Financial Services.
- Must be able to speak English fluently.
- Experience assessing and managing technology and cyber security risks related to application, network, and infrastructure.
