About the role

Responsibilities

  • The successful candidate is expected to seek external funding to support a long-term research program that provides opportunities for undergraduate and MS students.
  • The Department leads the Lake Maurepas Biomonitoring Project, and the successful candidate will find opportunities for building a research program and supporting students and postdocs in this and similar new projects.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a PhD in a relevant area of the biological sciences, documented expertise and experience in physiology, and a record of scholarly accomplishments.
  • The Department of Biological Sciences has more than 550 undergraduate majors in six concentrations and approximately 25 graduate students in the MS degree program.
