About the role
- Instructional areas included, but are not limited to functional academics, self-help skills, social skill training, communication, productivity and leisure.
- ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: Provide and utilize instructional plans, strategies, methods, materials and techniques that best meet the needs of individual students.
- Provide the leadership and direction of classroom assistants working with students.
Requirements
- Knowledge and/or experience with children with autism spectrum disorder.
- Ability to communicate effectively and work successfully with parents, teachers, staff, school administrators and community/advocacy groups.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Must have excellent attendance record.
- Attend required workshops and in-services.
