About the role

  • Conduct regular inspections, oil sampling, power quality assessments; recommend improvements or preventive maintenance actions.
  • Read, interpret, draw, and work from electrical schematics (one-line, three-line diagrams) and system map books.
  • Be a technical resource / mentor to other technicians: assist in guiding work, enforcing safe work practices, helping with training and troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Ability to write and speak to project specific knowledge, estimating, plan review, excel, Smartsheet, electrical theory.
  • Ability to walk jobsites, including tunnels, substations, gear houses, and electrical rooms (OSHA, NFPA 7OE).
  • Solid ability to interpret, read, and work from electrical schematics (one-line/three-line), system maps, etc.
  • Skilled in operating, troubleshooting, and working around energized equipment and knowledge of applicable safety codes and practices.
  • ability to guide others, help mentor less experienced staff.
