About the role

  • Legato, LLC recruiters (Staffing@legatocorp.com) would love to speak with you regarding the following position: Signals Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD.
  • Debug existing software and correct defects.
  • Describe various signal processing techniques.

Responsibilities

  • The Signals Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances signal processing software.
  • Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
  • Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
  • Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware /software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
  • Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance requirements.
  • Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
  • Develop/implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards.
  • Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
  • Develop software solutions, confer with user or system engineers.
  • Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.

Requirements

  • Experience with C++, Java and Linux
  • Experience processing systems
  • A bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • In lieu of a bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a total of eleven (11) years of experience

  • Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment preferred

Compensation

  • $190,000-$210,000, depending on experience.
