About the role
- Legato, LLC recruiters (Staffing@legatocorp.com) would love to speak with you regarding the following position: Signals Software Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD.
- Debug existing software and correct defects.
- Describe various signal processing techniques.
Responsibilities
- The Signals Software Engineer develops, maintains, and enhances signal processing software.
- Reviews and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results.
- Utilizes software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment.
- Provides specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware /software trade-offs, software reuse, and requirements analysis and synthesis from system level to individual software components.
- Analyze user requirements to derive design and performance requirements.
- Design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features.
- Develop/implement algorithms to meet system performance and functional standards.
- Assist with developing and executing test procedures for software components.
- Develop software solutions, confer with user or system engineers.
- Design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design.
Requirements
- Experience with C++, Java and Linux
- Experience processing systems
- A bachelor's degree in a related field.
- In lieu of a bachelor's degree, four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a total of eleven (11) years of experience

- Experience integrating Jenkins/Bamboo, Docker, and Kubernetes for automated deployment preferred

Compensation
- $190,000-$210,000, depending on experience.
