  • Position Overview The Medical Technologist is responsible for performing, evaluating, and reporting technical laboratory procedures on patient specimens to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain quality control, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Utilize and manage laboratory resources effectively, including productivity tools, supplies, instruments, and equipment.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of lab procedures, instrumentation, and laboratory information systems.

  • Education & Experience
  • Required: Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a natural science discipline.
  • Credential/Licensure
  • Current Tennessee licensure as a Medical Technologist (or Special Analyst) required if employed in Tennessee.
  • Must operate within the scope of licensure.
  • Skills & Abilities
  • Physical ability to perform tasks involving medium work, including handling up to 50 lbs., and visual acuity to perform detailed work.
