Responsibilities

Developing Scholars in East San José
This role focuses on improving operational systems, managing resources, overseeing facilities and technology, and maintaining a high standard of service delivery to support the school's academic and organizational goals.
Deep understanding of school or nonprofit operations, including policy creation and adherence, building systems and procedures, and accountability practices.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
Charter or District school, Nonprofit, or public sector experience required; California charter or LEA experience, strongly preferred

Compensation

Competitive salary commensurate with experience
The starting salary range for this role is $141,586 and increases based on years of equivalent experience.

A successful Managing Director of Operations:
The Managing Director of Operations (MDO) is responsible for the leadership of organizational processes across Alpha Public Schools, ensuring efficient, effective, and scalable systems across multiple functional areas, including school enrollment & attendance, facilities management, compliance systems, and school technology.
The MDO reports to the Chief Financial Officer, and works closely with the executive leadership team and school leadership teams to ensure the smooth operation of the school's day-to-day activities. Partner with the CFO and leadership team to drive the school's operational strategy and ensure alignment with the school's mission and vision.
