About the role
- This role requires demonstrating technical leadership by diagnosing and resolving complex breakdowns that occur on-site, while also establishing preventive maintenance schedules and mentoring junior technicians.
Responsibilities
- Perform direct repairs, part replacements, and modifications on production equipment and control systems (including PLCs) to ensure normal operation.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of maintenance experience in a production/factory environment (with hands-on field repair experience required).
- Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours.
- Must be able to do the following repeatedly for a period of up to 12 hours.
- High School Diploma/General Educational Development or higher degree required.
- Exposure to dry-room environments with gowning and PPE requirement.
- Technical knowledge in the fields of mechanical and electrical engineering
- Safety glasses.
- Steel-toed shoes.
- Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.
- Stoop, twist, bend.
- Reach overhead.
Nice to have
- Associate degree preferred or relevant work experience.
- Vocational certification (i.e., journeyperson) *preferred but not required.
- Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience *preferred but not required.
