Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain standardized accounting procedures, robust financial controls, processes and systems to ensure data integrity
- Drive continuous improvement of processes, including from new platform adoption, focused on efficiency, automation initiatives and resiliency of future state
- Mentor, develop, and manage Investment Accounting team members, fostering a high-performance, high-accountability culture while supporting career growth at OMERS
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Finance peers (Tax, Performance and Management Reporting, Corporate Finance, Valuations, Investment Operations) as well as with connected stakeholders across OMERS
- Ability to lead, develop, and inspire high-performing teams and build organizational capability.
- Proven leadership skills, with experience building and managing high-performing teams

Requirements
- A willingness to understand the detail when needed, yet balanced with the ability to see the big picture.
- Required Capabilities and Experience
- Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, or finance with a CPA designation
- Experience with the processes of financial accounting and reporting in a multi-business, international, complex enterprise.
- Experience and technical proficiency with eFront, Aladdin, Oracle and Workiva would be an asset

Compensation
- Lead accurate and timely end-to-end delivery of monthly, quarterly and annual financial accounting and reporting, including chart of account maintenance across different systems.
