About the role

  • This is an exciting time to join OneOncology.
  • The Risk Manager is responsible for the coordination and investigation of patient and visitor events, provides documentation of all related data and facilitates resolution of reported incidents.
  • This individual participates in formulating risk reduction strategies, policy and/or organizational changes.

Responsibilities

  • Promotes positive collaboration with other members of the Risk Management team to support the overall growth and development of the SMS Risk Management program.
  • Performs review and analysis of all risk event reports for Risk Management, quality of care, regulatory and insurance concerns utilizing RMIS technology.
  • Utilizes RMIS to manage, document, and store relevant risk management information.
  • Supports a Just Culture reporting environment and supports all quality and safety projects.
  • Maintains regular status notes on pending claims and litigation within RMIS.
  • Maintains clinical knowledge of best practices to ensure relevant and progressive risk management support.
  • In conjunction with human resources and operations, the manager provides risk management orientation and support to new staff and providers within their Region.

  • This position supports SMS-affiliated practice's objective of enhancing and promoting patient safety and quality of care and minimizing loss to protect the assets of the facility.

Requirements

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's Degree or commensurate experience required.
  • Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of risk management experience.
  • Strong clinical background preferred.
  • Current CPHRM certification or attainment of CPHRM Certification within one year of hire.
