  • In this highly impactful position, you will provide expert legal guidance on a wide range of matters-including contracts, litigation, labor & employment, regulatory topics, and risk mitigation.
  • You'll serve as a trusted advisor to leadership, shaping policies, influencing strategy, and ensuring compliance across a dynamic logistics environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the drafting, negotiation, and review of a wide variety of contracts, including customer and vendor agreements, insurance policies, leases, and other critical legal documents.
  • Provide support on complex contractual issues, strategic initiatives, litigation, labor & employment matters, and other emerging needs.
  • Stay current on federal, state, and industry regulations-particularly DOT, FMCSA, and other applicable requirements-while developing a deep understanding of the businesses you support.
  • Develop, refine, and implement policies and standard operating procedures to reduce risk and reinforce compliance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure legal strategies align with broader business goals.
  • Guide and manage the resolution of contractual disputes and other legal matters.
  • Lead and coordinate work with external legal counsel to support business growth and positive outcomes.
  • Develop strategies to reduce legal exposure for Trinity offices and Agents.
  • Maintain oversight of policy documentation to ensure clarity, consistency, and compliance with legal developments.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school required.
  • Ability to register and maintain a license as in-house counsel in Delaware required; an active Delaware law license is preferred.
