About the role
- We are seeking a highly skilled Fine Jewelry Authentication Gemologist to join our team.
- As a Fine Jewelry Authenticator, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the authenticity and quality of fine jewelry products we carry.
- The ideal candidate will meticulously examine and authenticate a wide range of luxury items, including but not limited to diamonds, gemstones, precious metals, metal content and hallmarks.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and maintain accurate records and documentation of authentication assessments, including detailed description (weights, serial numbers, diamond and gemstone counts), photographs, and findings.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including, customer service, procurement and receiving to address authentication inquiries and resolve authentication-related issues.
Requirements
- GIA Graduate Gemologist Certification Strong knowledge of gemstone characteristics, including color, clarity, cut, and carat weight, as well as familiarity with diamond grading standards.
- Proficiency with using gemological equipment as needed.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to identify subtle differences and anomalies in luxury items.
