About the role
- As a Software Development Engineer II, you will be a critical member of the team solving customer problems and driving the development and delivery of mission critical fraud controls across multiple platforms.
- Contribute to the architecture and technical roadmap of our software systems, balancing short-term goals with long-term scalability and maintainability.
Responsibilities
- You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in product, program management, data engineering, and engineering to simplify complexity, deliver high-quality, scalable systems, and speed up the rollout of impactful features.
- Partner with product managers, program managers, analysts, and engineers to gather requirements and deliver scalable, high-quality software solutions.
- Take part in an on-call rotation to ensure the reliability and support of the team's services.
- This creates a consistent, meaningful overlap that supports team norms and business needs.
Requirements
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4+ years of experience writing production-grade code and delivering robust, scalable software solutions.
- A strong background in modern distributed system architecture, including experience with cloud platforms, message brokers, and various database technologies.
- Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language such as Go, Java/Kotlin, Python, or TypeScript.
- A strong commitment to code quality, supported by experience with testing frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and observability tools.

- Contribute to code reviews, sprint rituals, hiring, and mentoring.
Compensation
- The starting base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $155,000.
