- Through licensing more than 45,000 businesses in over 45 industries, DCWP ensures fair competition and a level playing field for responsible small businesses that are integral to New York City's vibrant communities.
Responsibilities
- Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with DCAS, OPA, Office of the Comptroller, Office of Labor Relations, and agency policies and procedures.
- Prepare payroll and timekeeping reports to support audits, compliance reviews, and executive decision-making.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Perform special projects and other related duties as assigned.
Compensation
- Ensure accurate payroll processing and review personnel, payroll, and leave transactions, including appointments, promotions, salary changes, leaves of absence, and separations.
Benefits
- Oversee agency payroll, timekeeping, and leave administration functions utilizing NYCAPS, PMS, CHRMS, PRISE, and CityTime.
- Manage CityTime operations, including timesheet processing, leave requests, employee setup, schedules, and approval hierarchies.
- Review payroll reports, identify discrepancies, and oversee corrective actions, supplemental payrolls, one-time payments, contractual increases, leave payouts, and other payroll adjustments.
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on payroll, timekeeping, leave administration, and Employee Self-Service (ESS).
- Education and/or experience equivalent to "1", "2", or "3" above.
