About the role
- We are seeking an analytical Compliance and Oversight Generalist to serve as an internal consultant on operational excellence across the US Space Force's classified security/Integrated Security Enterprise (ISE).
- The Generalist will help to ensure the USSF's classified infrastructure and services scale efficiently by translating complex security regulations (NISPOM, ICDs) into repeatable, auditable, and highly efficient processes.
- The ideal candidate blends security compliance knowledge with experience in process improvement methodologies.
Responsibilities
- Security Process Analysis and Design
- Standardization: Support design, implementation, and to standardize new, optimized security processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce cycle time, and ensure consistent compliance across all USSF sites.
- SOP Suite: Support the development, maintenance, and revision of the master suite of Security Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring a unified, consistent, and compliant framework for all security domains (PHYSEC, PERSEC, INFOSEC, INDUSEC).
- Quality Control: Collaborate with the Security Compliance and Oversight Specialist and SME to integrate process improvements into the internal self-inspection and auditing programs, focusing on quality assurance and continuous monitoring.
- Root Cause Analysis: Support post-incident analysis efforts to help identify systemic root causes, and support the implementation of corrective process actions to prevent future security violations or recurring incidents.
- System Optimization: Support the integration and optimization of security management systems (DISS/NBIS, NISS) and physical security systems (ACS/IDS) to improve data integrity and compliance reporting.
Requirements
- Create and manage standardized security templates for required documentation, including DD-254s, Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), access rosters, and internal self-inspection reports.
- Practical knowledge of NISPOM/32 CFR Part 117 and applicable Intelligence Community Directives (ICDs).
- SPeD Certification, or experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- Experience with security management systems (DISS, NISS) and familiarity with enterprise software tools used for document control or workflow management.
- Template Creation: Create and manage standardized security templates for required documentation, including DD-254s, Fixed Facility Checklists (FFCs), access rosters, and internal self-inspection reports.
Nice to have
- Certification: SPeD Certification, or experience with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma).
- System Proficiency: Experience with security management systems (DISS, NISS) and familiarity with enterprise software tools used for document control or workflow management.
- This position is a strategic, enterprise-wide role that may require occasional travel to USSF facilities.
- This employment offer is contingent upon continued funding of the underlying government contract.

Compensation
- $85,000 - $95,000 USD
