About the role

  • Completing and reporting on-site inspections
  • Preparing and updating as-constructed field record drawings
  • Notifying the Project Manager or Contract Administrator of potential problems and liaising with municipal inspectors and outside agencies

Responsibilities

  • You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver construction support services on municipal infrastructure projects of various sizes and complexities.
  • In the office, you contribute to the design side of the project delivery process.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2-4+ years of previous experience in inspection in a civil engineering environment
  • Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Construction Inspection, Civil Engineering, or a related field
  • Comfort and experience working in a construction setting
  • Familiarity with the tendering process and construction contracts
  • Familiarity and knowledge with MMCD
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines
  • Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients
  • You can assess an active construction site with confidence.
  • You're comfortable around equipment and you work well with contractors.
  • You are forthright as you represent the project owner.

Nice to have

  • Registration as an AScT, CTech or EIT., and/or CPWI preferred

  • The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $70,015 - $100,500 annually.
