About the role

Completing and reporting on-site inspections
Preparing and updating as-constructed field record drawings
Notifying the Project Manager or Contract Administrator of potential problems and liaising with municipal inspectors and outside agencies

You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver construction support services on municipal infrastructure projects of various sizes and complexities.
In the office, you contribute to the design side of the project delivery process.

Minimum 2-4+ years of previous experience in inspection in a civil engineering environment
Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Construction Inspection, Civil Engineering, or a related field
Comfort and experience working in a construction setting
Familiarity with the tendering process and construction contracts
Familiarity and knowledge with MMCD
Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines
Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients
You can assess an active construction site with confidence.
You're comfortable around equipment and you work well with contractors.
You are forthright as you represent the project owner.

The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $70,015 - $100,500 annually.
