About the role
- Completing and reporting on-site inspections
- Preparing and updating as-constructed field record drawings
- Notifying the Project Manager or Contract Administrator of potential problems and liaising with municipal inspectors and outside agencies
Responsibilities
- You will work closely with both internal and external stakeholders to successfully deliver construction support services on municipal infrastructure projects of various sizes and complexities.
- In the office, you contribute to the design side of the project delivery process.

Requirements
- Minimum 2-4+ years of previous experience in inspection in a civil engineering environment
- Completion of a Degree or Diploma in Construction Inspection, Civil Engineering, or a related field
- Comfort and experience working in a construction setting
- Familiarity with the tendering process and construction contracts
- Familiarity and knowledge with MMCD
- Ability to effectively handle multiple projects and deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, contractors, and clients
- You can assess an active construction site with confidence.
- You're comfortable around equipment and you work well with contractors.
- You are forthright as you represent the project owner.
Nice to have
- Registration as an AScT, CTech or EIT., and/or CPWI preferred

- The salary for this position is commensurate with experience; the salary range for this position is $70,015 - $100,500 annually.
