About the role

You'll report directly to the Head of Engineering.
SDK Development: Contribute to our SDKs so external developers can integrate seamlessly.
Platform & Infrastructure: Improve CI/CD, releases, monorepo tooling (pnpm), performance, and observability across the stack.

Own product features from spec → API → UI → deploy → iterate.
Design and develop high-performance APIs and services that power the Footprint platform.
Ship user-facing features with a high bar for UI quality, partnering closely with design.
Build services that handle sensitive data securely and correctly (our backend is in Rust).
You design for scalability and security from day one, not as an afterthought.
Attention to detail, solid design sense, and strong collaboration with designers.
From day one, you'll have direct ownership over strategic initiatives that drive the business forward.
You'll build secure, scalable systems where correctness, security, and performance matter, and you'll sweat the product and UI details that make them great to use.
End-to-End Feature Ownership: Own product features from spec → API → UI → deploy → iterate.
API & Service Design: Design and develop high-performance APIs and services that power the Footprint platform.

Familiarity with the KYC & identity verification space.
Background with real-world cryptography or systems security.
Experience with cloud infrastructure at scale: AWS and Pulumi.
Rust, TypeScript, Postgres, NextJS/React, Tailwind, React Query, Pulumi, AWS, Vercel
90 Days: You've shipped meaningful features across the stack, demonstrated ownership of a product area, and built trust with the team through reliable delivery.
1 Year: You've architected and delivered major platform and product capabilities end-to-end, become a go-to person for technical decisions, and elevated the team's engineering standards.
