Patient Care
About the role
- Preparation of equipment and medications for surgical procedures
- Review patient history and conduct pre-operatory assessment
- Post-operative patient care in preparation for discharge
Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed and in good standing with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) is required
- Current CPR, PALS, and ACLS certifications are required
- Previous experience in Oral Surgery, Operating Room (OR), Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), or Critical Care is considered an asset
- Strong clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and the ability to provide safe, patient-centered care in a fast-paced surgical environment are required
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Continuous patient care during sedation while monitoring vital signs and assisting as required
