About the role
- NewsNation is looking for hardworking, creative, and proactive booking producer for a daily show.
- As a booking producer, you will work with show producers to arrange guest appearances on the program to discuss the news of the day and or breaking news.
Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by network leadership
Requirements
- The ideal candidate has advanced knowledge of newsmakers and political leaders.
- You must have excellent organizational skills, be an effective communicator, be detail-oriented, and work well under deadline pressure.
Skills
- A bachelor's degree is preferred
- Extensive list of contacts, and ability to find and book high-profile guests, as well as people at the center of major news stories
- Flexibility with your hours, as breaking news or major events warrant
- Five or more years of experience in television
- Strong editorial judgement
- Knowledge of and passion for current events and politics
- Willingness and ability to work under tight deadline pressures while juggling long-term bookings
- Experience with Lexis Nexis, ENPS would be valuable
Compensation
- $85,000 - $95,000 (per experience)
