About the role

  • Incumbents in this job classification are responsible for providing immigration advising services and new student orientation to meet the needs of the international student population.
  • Incumbents work independently with decisions impacting students' educational goals.

Responsibilities

  • ISSS provides comprehensive immigration support for students and scholars at the University of Mississippi.
  • Provides specialized student support to international students and international study abroad students.
  • Create, update, and maintain accurate SEVIS records and immigration documents.
  • Support university compliance with federal student reporting requirements.
  • Develop and maintain immigration-focused student communications.
  • Collaborate with campus offices as necessary for immigration compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's (Required)
  • Relevant experience | No Experience Required | Not Required
  • The International Advisor problem solves a variety of complex immigration issues requiring considerable knowledge of immigration rules and regulations.
  • No prior immigration advising experience is required.

Compensation

  • $42,640.00 - $63,980.80
