About the role

  • Principle accountabilities include but are not limited to: - Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are prepared and written for all areas of Packaging, Laboratory, Operations and the Agriculture Department.
  • Includes organizing material and completing writing assignments in accordance with SOP standard format regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Assists with written training materials as well as all training teams; e.g., maintenance, process and statistical process control (SPC). - Arranges for copying and distribution of material.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or a GED certificate is required and a minimum of 2 years of college,
  • OR one year of experience in technical writing in an industrial related field.
  • Individuals are required to submit to and successfully pass a Safety Screen that evaluates their ability to safely execute the duties and tasks defined by this position.
  • Able to read and write in English and have the ability to comprehend and interpret technical materials to provide easily understood SOPs for complex and technical processes, procedures and equipment.
  • Proficiency in math, reading, technical writing, computer skills and the ability to learn the manufacturing process.
  • Sufficient knowledge of drawing or graphics program experience is required to develop layouts and flows as needed for SOPs.
  • Must be able to operate copy equipment, printers and other office equipment.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and works overtime as required.
