About the role
- Responsible for the daily review, approval, and documentation of repossession assignments.
- Act as the final checkpoint in the repossession process, ensure that all state and federal regulations are strictly adhered to before approving an account for repossession.
- Approve or reject repossession assignments based on established guidelines and account details.
Responsibilities
- Maintain detailed and organized records to support audits, compliance reviews, and operational reporting.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of collections, loss mitigation, and repossession processes.
- Perform comprehensive daily reviews of accounts identified for repossession to confirm they comply with state and federal regulations, including assessing each account's eligibility for repossession.
- Accurately document all actions taken on accounts, including approvals, rejections, and compliance checks.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders.
- By building strong relationships with our customers and network of dealer partners we are able to give options that make sense, getting customers behind the wheel of their car.
Requirements
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle account issues or disputes in a timely and professional manner.
- Knowledge of state and federal repossession and collection laws.
Nice to have
- Experience in the finance or credit industry preferred.
