About the role
- This is not an ordinary internship- you will be given the full responsibility of a manufacturing engineer.
- The production team is rapidly deploying new processes and improvements to meet the growing demand for the HPDM product lines.
- We are looking to hire a full time intern with a focus on the Fall 2026 Semester for a minimum of 12 weeks, but open to extended periods as well based on candidate availability.
Responsibilities
- Work with design engineers to establish production requirements
- Design tools and fixtures to improve manufacturing processes
- Analyze recurring manufacturing discrepancies and implement solutions
- Collaborate with design engineers on implementation of manufacturing feedback
- Create, implement, and revise process plans and mBOMs to support production
- Lead LEAN manufacturing processes in support of continuous improvement initiatives
- H3X is looking to hire a manufacturing engineering intern to support the low volume production line across all the HPDM product lines.
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- Hands-on experience assembling mechanical systems
Nice to have
- Experience with manufacturing processes (machining, assembly, & composites)
- Experience with producing 2D part drawings and GD&T
- Experience with inspection methods and metrology equipment
- $23.00 - $37.00 / hr based on school level & experience
