About the role
- We're looking for a Motion Designer to help define how LiveKit moves.
- This is a founding motion role focused on bringing our brand, product story, and launches to life through thoughtful, high-craft animation.
- You'll work across product marketing, launch films, campaign systems, social, events, web marketing surfaces, and brand moments that help developers understand what LiveKit makes possible.
Responsibilities
- Lead motion for major launches and campaigns, from announcement videos and hero moments to social cuts and supporting assets.
- Build reusable motion systems, templates, components, and workflows so high-quality motion can ship faster across the team.
- Partner closely with brand, marketing, product, and design engineering to turn complex technical ideas into motion that feels clear, sharp, and worth watching.
- You're excellent with After Effects and have a modern motion toolkit, but your foundation is design: type, composition, pacing, hierarchy, and taste.
- You're comfortable bringing motion to the web, whether through Lottie, Rive, CSS/SVG, prototyping tools, or close collaboration with design engineers.
- LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the voice-driven era of computing.
- You can take a loose brief, find the shape of the idea, and drive the work from concept to final export.
