About the role
- We are seeking an individual that possesses knowledge and experience of high-pressure natural gas pipeline, gas measurement, compression, and cathodic protection systems.
- Depending on the candidate's qualifications, they may be offered a position at the appropriate skill level and/or career ladder.
Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance tasks including but not limited to facility inspections, operation and maintenance of valves and actuators, quick opening closures, storage wells, fluid removal and gas process and dehydration facilities, cathodic protection systems, exposures and other auxiliary equipment
- Perform maintenance activities such as leak repair, hydrate and fluid removal, vegetation management, inspection of right-of-way, assisting with tie-ins of mainline valves and pipe, cleaning of fluid removal and process equipment, and maintenance of launchers, receivers, vessels and closures
- Troubleshoot, operate, and maintain gas-fired reciprocating compressors, turbines, standby generator engines, centrifugal and diaphragm pumps, low pressure boilers, oil coolers, air compressors, large-bank cooler fans and gear boxes, and various types of electronic, electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment
- Maintain power, process controls, programmable logic controllers (PLC), RTUs, electric generation equipment, microwave multiplex equipment, pneumatic and electronic valves, transmitters, switches, meters and regulators
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain instrumentation, electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, apparatuses, fixtures, pneumatic and hydraulic equipment using hand and power tools
- Compile prepare and maintain records related to DOT audits, accuracy test, calibrations, equipment changes, relief valves test and gas analysis
Requirements
- Demonstrated work experience in energy, industrial plant or related industry
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and related software
Nice to have
- Experience locating and marking pipeline infrastructure
- Knowledge of internal combustion engines, centrifugal gas compressors, and standby generators
- Experience in repairing and remediating pipeline issues
- Experience with valve and relief valve operation, inspection, maintenance and repair
- This position requires candidates to:
- CDL with Hazmat preferred for fluid handling.
- Successfully complete TC Energy Pigging and Basics (6077)
- Successfully complete TC Energy Relief Valve (7057)
