North Star Fishing Company is dedicated to producing the highest quality frozen-at-sea groundfish products in the world.

They work under the Chief Engineer to conduct repairs, fabrication and maintenance in the factory and other parts of the ship.

We manage three trawl catcher-processor vessels that operate in the Bering Sea, Aleutian Islands, and the Gulf of Alaska.
The Maintenance Technician Lead works aboard at-sea processing vessels in the Bering Sea and off the coast of Washington and Oregon.

Familiarization with factory equipment and systems, ability to recognize normal operation of all equipment.
Must be available to work both at sea and in the shipyard periods.
Knowledge of hydraulics, welding stainless with Tig and stick equipment.
Experience managing inventory, purchasing and managing a budget.

Experience building and repairing factory equipment.

5+ years experience in a Maintenance Technician role on board a fishing vessel preferred.
