Responsibilities

  • The Director, IT Manufacturing, Supply Chain & Procurement is a high-impact enterprise leadership role created to support IT's evolving organization and the full scope of the COO's global operations.
  • This leader will own the technology strategy and transformation roadmap for manufacturing, supply chain, and procurement systems across a multi-billion-dollar global enterprise, with direct influence on productivity, reliability, service levels, cybersecurity resilience, and operational performance.
  • Partnering closely with the COO and senior business leaders, you will lead a global organization of approximately 60 IT professionals and oversee a large-scale applications portfolio spanning ERP, MES, plant-floor systems, operational data platforms, supply chain planning, and procurement solutions.
  • Niskayuna is just a few hours' drive or train ride from major cities, such as Boston, New York City and Montreal Also, near Saratoga Springs, NY home to the Saratoga Racecourse and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center
  • Lead a global organization of 60 IT team members and contractors with accountability for $4mm+ in operating expense.
  • Collaborate with IT Security & Infrastructure operations to define security standards and protect plant-floor systems.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Operations, and Procurement leadership to ensure IT capabilities enable productivity, quality, and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • The following are required for the role
  • 12+ years in IT roles with significant experience in managing IT teams focused on Manufacturing Systems, Supply Chain Planning, or ERP-driven operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or relevant discipline.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Supply Chain, or relevant discipline.
  • 8+ years in IT program management, project management, or IT business partner roles with a proven track record of delivering large-scale IT projects.
  • In-depth understanding of Supply Chain, Supply Chain planning and forecasting systems, and all other aspects of Supply Chain.
  • Deep understanding of MES, plant floor automation interfaces, data historians, and integrated ERP-SAP landscapes.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to influence and collaborate with senior leadership.

Skills

  • Experience in managing global teams and large-scale business system projects.
  • Vendor and portfolio management experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder and change management capability
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making capabilities with a focus on risk management and continuous improvement.
  • Master's/Advanced Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Specific hands-on experience driving, leading or participating in ERP Greenfield or Brownfield implementations.
  • The following are preferred for the role
  • Certifications: PMP, ITIL certification, Agile or Scrum certifications
  • Experience in an enterprise IT organization with ERP systems
  • Experience in process manufacturing industries (e.g., chemicals, pharmaceuticals).
  • Experience in managing full life-cycle system implementations.
  • Software Development, DevOps, programming (Java based environments) and other forms of development experience.

Compensation

  • Short term disability with 100% base salary coverage.
  • Student debt pay-off program.
  • $167,500 - $245,850
  • The actual salary offered is determined by factors including but not limited to education, experience, skill sets, and geography.
  • Local geographic pay differentials may not be reflected in the above pay range and will be discussed with you by a member of the HR team when applicable.
  • Additionally, this role is eligible for incentive or sales variable compensation payments.
