About the role
- Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, Fluctuating Temps hot/cold, Loud Noises (Equipment/Machinery), Some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), Standing for full shift
- At Thermo Fisher Scientific, you'll help our customers make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer. As a Manufacturing Technician II, you will support Zeta Plus & IPC production by operating equipment, following standard work, and helping ensure products meet safety, quality, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Perform basic equipment setup, changeovers, routine checks, and preventative maintenance tasks.
- Conduct first-piece and in-process inspections to support product quality.
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately to maintain traceability and ISO 9001 compliance.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work area using 5S practices.
- Support troubleshooting, cross-training, and Practical Process Improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in manufacturing, operations, production, laboratory, or a related field.
- Ability to follow procedures and work safely in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Basic math skills, including formulas, decimals, and fractions.
Compensation

- The hourly pay range estimated for this position based in Connecticut is $20.00-$23.00.
