About the role

Position Details: Expected Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week- Onsite Position.
Wage: Annual Salary of $62,353.20 Location: Oneida County CCE office in Oriskany, NY.
Per NYS Law, county and regional extension service associations are subordinate government agencies.

Perform general coordination activities including attending staff meetings, working with other staff, and general marketing of Extension programs.
In cooperation with Supervisor and/or Executive Director, jointly develop and pursue a professional development plan as a means to increase competencies relative to position accountabilities and to address changes and Association priorities.
Collaborate in activities that are in general support of Cornell Cooperative Extension including but not limited to attendance at staff meetings, timely reporting of expenses, working with other staff, general marketing of Cooperative Extension programs and other duties as assigned.
Maintain regular and predictable attendance and punctuality.
Support the Association to maintain a safe working environment.
Work alongside subject matter experts to deliver programs to address community and individual needs.

Bachelor's degree in agriculture, agricultural business, environmental science.
At least 2 years of volunteer or related work experience.
General knowledge of agriculture, including familiarity with crop and soil systems, agronomy, pest management, and agricultural workforce development.
Ability to effectively participate in professional team efforts, including frequent collaboration with staff and outside organizations.
Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing with community members and external employees.
Ability to work independently and with peers and groups.
Proficiency or ability to learn and effectively use software including use of the internet and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Demonstrated ability to function as a team member working with staff.
Ability to meet travel requirements associated with this position.
Ability to meet acceptable background check standards.

Knowledge of Oneida County agriculture, local producers, and community needs.
Knowledge and experience in working with various communities.
Ability to identify, organize, and utilize program resources from the organization and the community.
Ability to work with a high degree of integrity, accuracy, organization, sound professional judgment, and confidentiality.
