About the role
- Job Description: Intern Students gain work experience that can be applied to future career goals.
- Located in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains, Primary Children's Hospital is a Level 1 trauma center, and tertiary care children's hospital serving children and adolescents from Utah, Idaho, Wyoming, Nevada, and Montana.
- Primary Children's Hospital is owned by Intermountain Healthcare and is the pediatric specialty teaching hospital for the University of Utah School of Medicine.
Responsibilities
- Develop clinical skills related to providing biopsychosocial assessments and related diagnosis; creating treatment plans; performing risk assessment and crisis intervention; creating effective disposition plans; and facilitating individual, group, and family therapy.
- Participate in a variety of projects that support the needs of the department/facility
- Ability to consistently maintain a positive rapport and demeanor with patients, families, and team members
Requirements
- Must provide documentation of enrollment in such program, as well as any earned degree or certification that may be required.
- Proficiency in the knowledge and skills in the field directly related to the internship opportunity.
- Organizational skills, including attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
- Minimum Qualifications

- Expertise with Microsoft Office suite
- Experience with Epic EMR
