About the role

Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network.
In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.
These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.

Lead Daily Production: Responsible for all aspects of assigned newscasts - from story selection and editorial decisions to final delivery.
Create Compelling Content: Write, edit, and produce engaging stories and segments for broadcast and digital.
Drive Digital Integration: Collaborate with digital and news teams to ensure stories reach audiences on all platforms.
Other Duties: Perform other duties. Reporting to the Executive Producer.
Organization & Problem Solving: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with sound decision-making.
Professionalism: Maintains composure under pressure and contributes positively to newsroom culture.
Work with the directors, assignment desk and editors, on-air staff, and field crews to manage live shots, visuals, and supporting materials.
Collaborate with digital and news teams to ensure stories reach audiences on all platforms.

3+ years of experience in a medium-to-large market.
Editorial Judgment: Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and craft impactful stories with strong writing and storytelling skills.
Technical Expertise: Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, live production tools, and non-linear editing.
Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field.

FOX 5 DC / FOX 5 Plus is seeking an experienced, creative, and energetic News Producer to join our winning team.
You'll help shape stories that inform, engage, and inspire our community across broadcast, digital, and streaming platforms.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $94,000.00-97,000.00 annually.
