About the role
- Of these stations, 18 are affiliated with the FOX Network.
- In addition to distributing sports, entertainment and syndicated content, our television stations collectively produce approximately 1,200 hours of local news every week.
- These stations leverage viewer, distributor and advertiser demand for the FOX Network's national content.
Responsibilities
- Lead Daily Production: Responsible for all aspects of assigned newscasts - from story selection and editorial decisions to final delivery.
- Create Compelling Content: Write, edit, and produce engaging stories and segments for broadcast and digital.
- Drive Digital Integration: Collaborate with digital and news teams to ensure stories reach audiences on all platforms.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties. Reporting to the Executive Producer.
- Organization & Problem Solving: Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines with sound decision-making.
- Professionalism: Maintains composure under pressure and contributes positively to newsroom culture.
- Work with the directors, assignment desk and editors, on-air staff, and field crews to manage live shots, visuals, and supporting materials.
- Collaborate with digital and news teams to ensure stories reach audiences on all platforms.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a medium-to-large market.
- Editorial Judgment: Proven ability to identify, prioritize, and craft impactful stories with strong writing and storytelling skills.
- Technical Expertise: Familiarity with newsroom computer systems, live production tools, and non-linear editing.
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications or related field.

Compensation
- Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $94,000.00-97,000.00 annually.
