About the role

  • The Windows Agents, Growth and Innovation team is advancing how people interact with Windows through intelligent, context-aware experiences.
  • You will work across organizational boundaries to solve complex engineering problems and establish sound architectural, security, reliability, and performance practices.
  • You will also mentor other engineers and help the team make effective technical decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain clean, reliable, testable code using best practices and responsible AI-assisted development while escalating blockers early.
  • Work with partner engineering teams, PMs, and experts (privacy, security, SRE) to understand requirements, apply customer feedback/telemetry, and deliver scalable, reliable, user-centric features.
  • Build extensible, maintainable services and features with strong diagnosability, reliability, and production-readiness.
  • You will own features from early technical investigation through implementation, validation, deployment, and ongoing operation.
  • This role provides an opportunity to influence the direction of emerging Windows experiences and deliver durable improvements across a large product ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role.
  • Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
  • Required/Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
