About the role
- We are looking for a Project Manager to join our Project Team in Kingston, NY.
- Serve as the primary internal contact for Customers, Engineering, Sales, Service, Manufacturing, and Purchasing for the life cycle of the project.
Responsibilities
- Participate in established proposal/budget/project review meetings with multiple departments, including Product Line Director, Product Manager, Applications Engineering, Design Engineering, Operations, Sales, and others.
- Manage customer expectations for scope of work, project schedule, and buyer/seller responsibilities.
- Creates and implements long term corrective actions plans in collaboration with Engineering Leadership.
- Ability to develop, monitor, analyze, and control project budgets
- Manage non-JBT Marel site crews on a direct basis during the equipment build and installation process.
- Manage approximately 5-15 projects at any given time.
- JBT Marel uses technology-assisted tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to support the review of applications.

- Manages the detailed technical schedule and financial performance of the project to deliver a quality product on time and within the project budget.
Requirements
- Good organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and thrive in a change-oriented, fast-paced, high stress environment where schedules, deadlines, and customer demands can shift priorities
- Leadership and team-building experience with the ability to integrate a diverse group of people to achieve objectives
- Co-develops and then manages project schedules to ensure on-time completion of contractually required project milestones.
- Must be willing to travel to site to assist with project execution and pre-installation and required.
Skills
- Strong organizational, negotiating, planning and influencing skills, verbal and written
- Experience in supplier/procurement processes
- Prior experience with an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system
- Critical thinking skills to interpret and use information from a variety of sources and interpret highly technical concepts
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and assembly drawings
- Well-structured and organized problem solving/root cause analysis skills
- Preventive and corrective action skills
- Strong reporting and presentation skills
- Ability to travel as needed
- Minimum three years' experience with Project Management in a capital equipment environment.
- BS Degree in Engineering or Project Management
- Certification in Project Management (PMP through PMI or equivalent)
Compensation
- $101,250 - $129,000 - Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
- Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
