About the role
- Ethos is looking for an ambitious self-starter to join our Finance & Strategy team.
- This role is ideal for a data-driven finance leader with deep experience in consumer unit economics, scaling GTM businesses, and who is willing to dive deep into the data and operations of the business.
- This role will have high visibility across the executive team and will require you to solve the most complex, interesting challenges of a rapidly-scaling startup.
Responsibilities
- The Senior Director, GTM will own financial strategy and performance management for our GTM business.
- You will also be responsible for interfacing with external partners through either a Corp Dev or BizDev lens in support of these objectives.
- Own financial planning and forecasting for the GTM business
- Drive our efforts to better serve new customer segments, launch new insurance products, and/or partnership offerings
- Apply business judgment and financial insights to drive decision making related to unit economics, customer acquisition, operations, core business expansion, and new opportunities
- Apply a data-driven analytical approach to influence decision making and support company leadership in evaluating strategic initiatives
- Develop and monitor critical financial performance metrics, and communicate actionable insights to relevant stakeholders
Requirements
- Ability to operate at both strategic and highly detailed levels
- Motivated self-starter with a track record of success and a proven ability to juggle multiple projects and tasks while hitting deadlines
- Stellar academic record with a degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Finance, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.)
Nice to have
- Prior experience with Corp Dev / Biz Dev preferred
Compensation
- The US national base salary range for this full-time position is $191,000 - $338,000.

- 4+ years in investment banking, private equity, growth equity, strategic finance, or consulting (with material CDD / Private Equity experience)
