About the role
- The Foundation for Fresh Produce by IFPA (The Foundation) is a global philanthropic nonprofit dedicated to growing a healthier world by changing the trajectory of human health.
- With ambitious goals to become an influential, global foundation, The Foundation advances fruit and vegetable consumption as a cornerstone of improved health, equity, and long-term demand.
- The Foundation is seeking an individual with strong human health experience for the Director, Development position which is responsible for driving philanthropic revenue growth that enables the Foundation's programs and Theory of Change to scale.
Responsibilities
- Drive philanthropic revenue from foundations, corporations, major donors, and aligned industry partners
- Establish and manage clear development goals, pipelines, performance metrics, and accountability
- Own CRM strategy, pipeline management, and moves management to ensure momentum and results
- Lead the Foundation's institutional funding strategy with a focus on securing significant, repeatable funding
- Serve as the primary internal lead for the external grant agency, setting priorities, direction, and timelines
- Cultivate philanthropic relationships with industry and corporate partners, positioning contributions as mission-aligned investments rather than transactional sponsorships
- Translate industry interest into sustained philanthropic support that advances shared outcomes
- Identify co-funding, collaborative, and multi-partner opportunities that increase scale and impact
- Maintain clarity and integrity between philanthropic engagement and the Foundation's mission and priorities
- Collaborate with communications and program leaders to ensure strong, outcome-oriented funder narratives

Compensation
- 5-8 times per year
