Requirements

  • Four years progressively responsible experience in the electrical trade.
  • The successful candidate must be able to show acceptable documentation establishing the right to accept employment in the United States of America without employer sponsorship.

  • and/or medical examinations to determine ability to perform the job.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively and follow directions.
  • Valid Maryland Non-commercial Class C or equivalent driver's license may be
  • required.
  • Possession of Maryland State certification as a licensed electrician may be
  • Physical Demands:
  • May be required to perform physical work requiring bending, stooping,
  • reaching, carrying, and frequent heavy lifting.
  • May be required to work in adverse weather conditions.

Skills

  • Comprehensive knowledge and skill in the techniques used in the installation,
  • repair and maintenance of electrical systems, equipment and apparatus
  • carrying less than 13,000 volts.
  • Thorough knowledge of and skill in basic mathematics including area, volume,
  • and weights and the practical application on fractions, percentages, ratios, and
  • Skill in the use and maintenance of the tools and equipment of the electrical
  • trade including testing equipment such as ohmeters, battery and buzzer and
  • Comprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations related to the electrical trade
  • and of electrical codes, and Underwriters Rules for wiring and installation.
