About the role
- Makes recommendations to management on the optimal accounting treatment for new and complex transactions.
- Ensures adherence to accounting standards, as well as Company accounting and financial policies.
- Possesses broad understanding of technical accounting and financial principles, including the accounting for rate regulated operations and income taxes.
Requirements
- May serve as a subject matter expertise or witness during proceedings.
- Communicates financial results, impacts and actions required to business areas and executive management
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
- Minimum of 6 years' experience in general financial accounting and reporting or tax experience.
- In depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC, FERC and various other regulatory or tax rules and principles.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to a variety of audiences and analyze complex business scenarios.
- Experience with project roles essential.
- Minimum 8 years of general financial/accounting and reporting experience.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP, SEC, FERC and various other regulatory rules.
Skills
- Advanced skills with Microsoft Office applications.
Compensation
- $84,900.00 to $138,600.00 per year
