About the role

  • Repairs are performed on Class I and II electronic medical devices, requiring careful handling, precise workmanship, and adherence to quality standards.
  • Meeting established productivity and quality standards is an essential requirement of this position, including repair volume targets and warranty repair rate thresholds.
  • Follow established technical and administrative policies and procedures, including pricing guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • The Service Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting and repair of specific Cadwell products, with direction and support from the Service Department Lead.
  • Troubleshoot and perform repair operations on specific Cadwell products, completing work accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain work area, tools, and equipment in a clean and orderly condition, adhering to prescribed safety procedures and regulations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Working knowledge of computer applications including MS Office, Google Workspace, query tools, and database systems.
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Contact customers as needed during the repair process to gather additional information required to complete service orders accurately.
  • Complete required documentation and paperwork accurately and on time.
  • No prior experience required; relevant experience in electronics repair or a related field is a plus
  • Extensive use of a computer will be required.
  • Domestic and international travel may be required; must be able to obtain necessary travel documents.
  • Work hours outside normal business hours may be required at times to meet business needs.
  • Working knowledge of electronics fundamentals as applied to the repair of electronic medical devices, including resistors, capacitors, and other electronic components

  • Develops and maintains knowledge of Cadwell product lines and how they are used by clinicians, and effectively troubleshoots computer hardware and software issues.
  • Develops and maintains a foundational understanding of Cadwell's Quality Management System (QMS), including product escalation processes and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs).
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with co-workers, customers, and vendors in both written and verbal formats.
  • Approaches work with attention to detail, an organized methodology, and effective time management and follow-through.

  • Education / Experience

Nice to have

  • Technical certification in electronics or a related field (preferred)
  • No prior experience required
