About the role
- The Medical Assistant is responsible for daily patient flow for each respective physician for whom they work.
- They must use triage skills to gather information from which designated staff can make appropriate patient health assessments and to anticipate physician's needs as they relate to the patients' medical care.
Responsibilities
- This position does not manage any other caregivers.
- Performs a variety of physician-requested ancillary and/or surgical patient procedures. (This excludes the administration of IV medication.)
- Maintains equipment, instruments supply inventory levels.
- Supports Lean principles of continuous improvement with energy and enthusiasm, functioning as a champion of change.
- Provides and maintains a safe environment for caregivers, patients, and guests.
Requirements
- Continually (75% or more): Standing and walking, keyboard operation, use of clear and audible speaking voice and the ability to hear normal speech level.
Compensation
- Pay range: $24.93 - $31.91

- DEPARTMENT SUMMARY: The Medical Assistant (MA) position is assimilated throughout St.
- Charles Health System encompassing practices in three Central Oregon counties and numerous specialties including orthopedic services, family care, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, immediate/urgent care, cardiology, pulmonology, rheumatology, general surgery, cancer care, behavioral health, and sleep medicine.
- POSITION OVERVIEW: The Medical Assistant is responsible for daily patient flow for each respective physician for whom they work.
- Escorts patients to exam rooms and prepares for physician assessment.
- Assists physician with answering phone requests from patients and/or other medical professionals and institutions.
