About the role

  • Our team of specialists works together to guide each patient through every step of the cancer experience-from diagnosis through survivorship.
  • Position Overview The Oncology Nurse Navigator serves as a dedicated care coordinator throughout the cancer care continuum.
  • ONNs provide education, improve access, and streamline communication to ensure a supportive, seamless experience for patients and their families.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of patient progress and clinical outcomes
  • Collaborate with oncologists, specialists, and support teams to enhance patient experience and outcomes
  • Perform RN scope duties, including telephone triage and clinical assessments
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program (required)
  • At least 1 year of nursing experience (required)
  • Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license (required)
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association (required)
  • OCN certification required within two (2) years of hire
  • Strong knowledge of oncology practices and patient navigation
  • Proficiency with electronic documentation and EMR systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, and work both independently and collaboratively
  • Compassionate, patient-centered approach with strong attention to detail

Nice to have

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred)
  • Outpatient nursing and scheduling experience (preferred)
