About the role
- The Material Coordinator I is responsible for the accurate and efficient movement, tracking, and reporting of raw materials throughout the production process.
- Duties/Responsibilities: Material Management & Distribution: Ensure timely and accurate replenishment of materials to production pods, maintaining adequate stock levels to prevent disruptions in production.
- Identify and resolve any discrepancies or inconsistencies in material tracking, collaborating with relevant teams.
Responsibilities
- Manage inventory across various software platforms, ensuring consistency and accuracy in all data entries.
- Validate and reconcile inbound material transfers from the warehouse and other departments, confirming correct quantities, color, size, and other specifications.
- Inventory Control & Accuracy: Conduct routine cycle counts and maintain accurate documentation of all inventory movements.
- Production Support & Waste Tracking: Track and document production waste, analyzing the data to identify patterns, trends, or anomalies, and investigate potential causes to minimize future waste.
- Data Reporting & Analysis: Maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to material usage, waste, and inventory accuracy, providing regular data reports to management.
Requirements
- Ability to stand, crouch, and lift up to 60 lbs. unassisted throughout a standard workday.
- Familiarity with inventory tracking systems, ERP/WMS platforms, and basic computer skills.
- Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in material handling.
- 2+ years of experience in inventory control or a manufacturing environment with responsibilities for inventory tracking and reporting.
- Required Skills/Abilities: Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of accuracy in material handling and data entry.
Skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with inventory tracking systems, ERP/WMS platforms, and basic computer skills.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve discrepancies in material handling.
- Compliance Knowledge: Understanding of state and internal regulations regarding material management and storage.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP, WMS, or other inventory management systems.
- Valid Driver's License required.
- Salary: $21 per hr
- Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
