About the role

  • This position provides technical thought leadership both within the Business Intelligence/Data Warehouse team and in front of our business leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and administer complex ETL processes using MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 (DTS and SSIS)
  • Provide maintenance and 2nd-tier production support for a self-service business intelligence environment
  • Develop, troubleshoot and fine tune existing and new reports
  • Evaluate and implement products and implement best-practices to enhance our BI/DW solution
  • Develop, manage and maintain data models, including physical and logical models of the data warehouse, data marts, development and staging areas and source systems as necessary to meet new and changing business requirements
  • Be able to define requirements, analyze data, design solutions, program, test, implement, and train end-users and fellow IT team members.

Requirements

  • 7 years of experience developing, maintaining and administering MS SQL Server 2005/2008/2012 databases.
  • 7 years of experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse products
  • 5 years of hands on ETL experience with complicated SSIS Package coding and maintenance.
  • Experience with installation, configuration and stabilization of medium- to large-scale Business Intelligence implementations
  • 5 years of experience with Data Modelling tools such as Erwin.
  • Must be local to Illinois
