About the role
- The Survivor Made Director (SMD) oversees and directs execution of Refuge for Women's career readiness program including marketing and sales and business operations.
Responsibilities
- Help develop goals, systems, and strategies that support the program's mission and sustainability.
- Build relationships with event organizers, churches, businesses, and community partners.
- Support event setup, inventory preparation, and staffing coordination.
- Staff Support & Supervision
- Provide training, support, scheduling, and regular feedback.
- Develop and lead job-readiness training for survivor employees.
- Support skill-building in areas such as customer service, workplace communication, and professionalism.
- Financial & Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate inventory and financial records.
- Marketing & Brand Support
Requirements
- Proven leadership, management and problem solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and adapt to frequent changes
- Strong communication skills with ability to interact with multiple stakeholders
- Familiarity or experience with 12-step and survivor programs
- Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug test upon receiving an offer of employment.
- Self-motivated team player with a positive 'can-do' attitude
- Attention to detail and organized
- Faith & Cultural Alignment
- Demonstrated commitment to the organization's Christian mission and values
- Willingness to support and participate in faith-based activities as part of staff culture
- Understanding of or willingness to learn trauma-informed care principles
