About the role

  • Establish and uphold architectural standards and best practices for Apex, Lightning Web Components, integrations, data modeling, and security.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other lead architects to ensure Salesforce designs align with Wellington's broader enterprise architecture, integration patterns, and long‑term platform strategy.
  • Act as a senior technical advisor, working directly with business partners and product teams to translate requirements into clear, well‑designed technical solutions.
  • Partner with engineers and delivery teams to ensure architectural intent is carried through implementation and ongoing evolution.
  • This role sits within Wellington's Client Platform Technology group, which is responsible for building and evolving platforms that support client engagement and distribution capabilities across the firm.
  • The role partners closely with established lead architects, engineering teams, and business stakeholders to deliver high‑quality Salesforce solutions that support Wellington's global client and distribution capabilities.
  • In support of this commitment, our employees work from our offices 4 days a week with flexibility to work remotely 1 day a week.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, including substantial experience designing and delivering solutions on Salesforce Sales Cloud and the Force.com platform.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non‑technical audiences and influence outcomes without formal authority.
  • Deep technical expertise in Apex, Lightning Web Components, integrations (REST/SOAP), data modeling, and platform security.
  • Guide solution design with a strong understanding of Salesforce platform capabilities, leveraging standard and declarative features wherever possible and applying custom development thoughtfully.

Nice to have

  • Experience architecting Salesforce solutions supporting sales, client servicing, pipeline management, or related distribution capabilities.
  • Familiarity with enterprise integration patterns and multi‑system environments involving Salesforce.
  • Experience working with globally distributed teams across regions and time zones.
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer, Application Architect, or System Architect) are a plus.
  • Experience with Agentic Development Tools

Compensation

  • USD 120,000 - 225,000 This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education.
  • This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.
  • Base salary is only one component of Wellington's total compensation approach.
