About the role
- In this role, you will work alongside the Maintenance Supervisor and participate as a team member of the Maintenance Department.
- Your ability to communicate clearly and involvement in equipment repair and preventative maintenance will help minimize equipment downtime and ensure efficient manufacturing operations.
- This will ensure consistency with business goals, unit Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to include safety, quality, efficiency, productivity and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Mechanical skill, knowledge and application of technical skills and expertise to ensure the provision of effective technical support within a team, focused on delivering performance targets.
- Repairing faulty, damaged, or worn equipment to maintain basic conditions
- Requesting quotes for parts to maintain equipment and inventory
Requirements
- Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience working as a production line mechanic, facilities mechanic or equivalent
- Advanced mechanical knowledge of industrial machinery
- Ability to comprehend machine manuals and drawings with a clear interpretation of their meaning
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of plant personnel.
- Must be well organized utilizing sound 5S principles

- Industrial Maintenance Degree/ Certificate
