Work effectively as a member of the Veterinary Technology department and collaborate with faculty, staff, program leadership, and external partners as appropriate.

Three full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience in veterinary medicine or technology.
The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time (or equivalent) postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
Current Minnesota license as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M.), required to serve as DVM faculty for the Veterinary Technology Program.
Clinical expertise in veterinary surgical nursing, dentistry, anesthesia, diagnostic imaging, laboratory procedures, and patient care.
Knowledge of curriculum development, accreditation standards, program assessment, and continuous improvement.

Prepare students to meet program outcomes and expectations for safe, ethical, and professional practice in veterinary medical settings.
Promote safety in all aspects of program activities, including animal handling, laboratory instruction, surgical and dental procedures, equipment use, and clinical learning environments.
Support student learning through instructional planning, curriculum development, student evaluation, timely feedback, and maintenance of accurate student records.
Prepare and manage classroom, laboratory, surgical, dental, and animal care learning environments.
Maintain professional skills, credentials, and current knowledge of veterinary medical practice, surgical nursing, dentistry, anesthesia, animal care, and veterinary technician education.
