About the role
- We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as a Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting our Data Science and AI initiatives.
- In this role, you will provide clinical expertise throughout the development, validation, and continuous improvement of AI-driven healthcare solutions.
- The ideal candidate combines strong clinical knowledge with analytical thinking, a deep understanding of clinical documentation and utilization management, and an interest in applying emerging AI technologies to improve healthcare outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the clinical expert supporting the design, development, testing, and validation of AI and data science solutions.
- Support clinical outcome measurement and ensure AI products align with evidence-based clinical practice and organizational quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Data Science, Engineering, Product Management, Clinical Operations, and Quality teams, to translate clinical requirements into technical solutions.
- Support continuous improvement of AI models through ongoing clinical feedback, documentation review, and outcome analysis.
- Validate AI-generated clinical outputs and assess generative AI responses for clinical accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness.
- Define and validate clinical acceptance criteria, including Definition of Ready and Definition of Done for clinical features and AI outcomes.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
- Experience in Utilization Review (UR).
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to investigate complex clinical scenarios.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain clinical concepts to technical audiences.
Nice to have
- Case Management experience is preferred.
- Basic understanding of statistics and data analysis concepts.
