About the role
- The load-bearing questions are open and there are few set policies and processes.
- You will be the technical authority on revenue.

Responsibilities
- Own the revenue portion of our external audit, from the PBC list through the technical positions
- Own commission capitalization and amortization under ASC 340-40
- Own the monthly revenue close: recognition, the deferred revenue rollforward, contract asset and liability balances, and the flux analysis
- LiveKit is building the infrastructure layer for the voice-driven era of computing.
Requirements
- You have demonstrable ASC 606 experience with usage-based or consumption revenue
- Experience assessing GAAP guidance and implementing it in real-world situations
Nice to have
- Billing system implementation or migration - Metronome, Stripe, Zuora
- Pre-IPO or first-audit experience
- Contribute to open source alongside world-class engineers
